Exterior painting

Render, masonry, windows and doors, prepared for the weather.

Outside, paint has a job beyond looks: it protects. Exterior work starts with the surface, because a finish only lasts as long as what it is stuck to.

What it usually covers

  • Rendered and masonry walls
  • Front doors, window frames and sills
  • Fascias, soffits and bargeboards
  • Garden walls, fences and gates

Good to know

What time of year is best?

Paint needs dry surfaces and mild temperatures, so spring to early autumn is ideal. Small jobs can often fit around the weather at other times.

Do you need access to the whole house?

Usually just the outside and a water supply. Anything else is agreed when the job is quoted.
